What does whelk taste like?
Whelk has a briny and sweet taste.
Much like scallops not like clams.
Lightly cooked --> chewy texture
Overcooked --> tough meat.
Chop them up and fry them in a pan with a little bit of garlic, butter, parsley and a squeeze of lemon.
